THAI Introduces New Limousines Used in Royal Transfer Service for First Class Passegers
Mr. Pandit Chanapai , Thai Airways International's Director Area Thailand and THAI's Management welcomed Mr. Rienchai Likitplug during THAI's launch of its Royal Transfer Service, whereby new Mecedes Benz cars will be used to transport first class passengers from their residence to Bangkok International Airport and vice versa.

THAI Holds Seminar Promoting "Take Off With THAI" Tickets
Mr. Suthep Suebsantiwongse, Thai Airways International's Executive Vice President of Commercial Department, recently organized a seminar on the topic "Take Off With THAI" to 600 sales agents and travel agents. The seminar provided information on ticket promotions, new airline products, developing THAI's image, and THAI's excellent service, which was held at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel
THAI's New Inflight Duty Free Catalogue with Hand Held Computer Order
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced the introduction of a newly published inflight duty free catalogue to introduce duty free items onboard THAI's international flights. Purchase may be made through Hand Held Computers which will be available for passenger use in inflight purchases from June 2004 onwards.
The inflight duty free catalogue consists of duty free item pictures, with captions of, international well-known brands including cosmetics, perfumes, ladies handbags, watches, pens, toys, women accessories, chocolates, liquor, THAI souvenirs, and Royal Project products. To enhance passengers' convenience to purchase inflight duty free items, THAI is making a Hand Held Computer available which calculates prices and provides a sales slip together with a credit card receipt following the purchase transaction.
In addition to ensuring passenger convenience in purchasing inflight duty free items, THAI also offers home delivery service for Japanese passengers or Japanese residents who travel on the Bangkok-Japan routenet. THAI passengers and Thai residents may also make purchases during international flights using the purchasing form attached to the catalogue. To support the government's policy in promoting One Tumbol One Product (OTOP), THAI will include OTOP products in its inflight duty free items which can be purchase through Home Delivery Service. THAI hopes that this will help promote and distribute OTOP products at an international level and create an income for Thai local people.
THAI Introduces New Limousines Used in Royal Transfer Service for First Class Passengers
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced the introduction of its Royal Transfer Service, whereby new Mercedes Benz cars will be used to transport first class passengers from their residence to Bangkok International Airport and vice versa.
Mr. Kanok Abhiradee, THAI's President, said that the airline is pleased to offer passengers a service that is more modern, convenient,elegant, and speedy. Therefore, THAI has introduced a new fleet of 100 Mercedes Benz cars, models E 220 CDI and C 180, which have entered THAI's Limousine fleet to serve passengers.
THAI's Royal Transfer Service is a new free Mercedes Benz service, transporting first class passengers without additional expense between their place of residence and Bangkok International Airport.
With THAI's Royal Transfer Service, first class passengers will have the option of choosing to use THAI's Limousine Service when necessary. First class passengers may make reservations to use this service by calling THAI's Limousine Department, Tel. 0-2973-3191,0-2973-3199, 0-2973-4343 Ext. 4121-2, Fax. 0-2973-3004 (24 hours a day).
THAI's Royal Transfer Service and THAI's Limousine Service are part of THAI's Premium Customer Services, THAI services with touches of Thai, and are special services that will facilitate THAI's first class passengers. This service was introduced as part of the airline's corporate identity strategy, supporting THAI's goal to become the number one carrier, available to THAI's first class passengers from this day forward.
THAI Introduces Special Bonus for Royal Orchid Plus Members on Scandinavian Routes
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced a special offer of "bonus miles" for Royal Orchid Plus members traveling on its new class of travel on Scandinavian flights between Bangkok - Copenhagen and Bangkok-Stockholm, effective as this day forward.

- Royal Executive Premium Class
Passengers will be seated in a more spacious cabin. Fare for the Royal Executive Premium Class is equivalent to THAI's Royal Executive Class full fare, with a capacity of 18 seats.- Economy Deluxe Class
Passengers will experience special services with more comfortable seating. The fare for Economy Deluxe Class is equivalent to THAI's Economy Class full fare, with a capacity of 62 seats.Economy Class remains the same with a capacity of 325 seats.
Currently, THAI operates on the route Bangkok - Copenhagen v.v. 6 times per week, every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, utilizing Boeing 747-400 aircraft. THAI also operates on the route Bangkok - Stockholm v.v. 4 times per week, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, utilizing Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
THAI's Royal First Class Lounge Reopens at Bangkok International Airport
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited recently announced the reopening of THAI's Royal First Class Lounge, located at Peir 2, Terminal 1, Departure Hall, Bangkok International Airport.
The renovated lounge is based on contemporary, Thai design with modern facilities and is equipped with exclusive OTOP products to provide more delightful services to premium passengers. Varieties of facilities provided include a private room with entertainment facilities, shower rooms with exclusive toileteries, lavatories, Thai massage service, Internet on LCD monitors, local and international phone services, and portable DVD. The lounge will be able to exclusively accommodate 75 First Class passengers.
THAI currently has 6 Royal Executive Lounges at Bangkok International Airport, located as follows:
- Royal First Class Lounges next to the Duty Free Shop and Airside, Pier 2, and Pier 5
- Royal Executive Class Lounges at Pier 1, Pier 3, Pier 5

THAI Offers Special Discount to Thai Government Officials
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced that it is offering a special discount of 5% for Thai government officials traveling on business or leisure when they travel on THAIs domestic route, effective 1 June 2004 onwards. Mr. Suthep Suebsantiwongse,THAIs Executive Vice President for Commercial, said that government officials may make payment for these air tickets in cash or by credit card. Tickets may be issued as e-tickets when making reservations by telephone or in person. At check-in, government officials are required to show their government identification card along with a credit card (for payment by credit card) or government identification card only
(for payment by cash).Government officials who wish to travel with THAI on domestic routes and receive a 5% special discount may obtain further information by contacting THAIs reservation office at 0 268 2000.
THAI Implements Fuel Surcharge
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced that it will implement a fuel surcharge on international flights, due to the continual increase in fuel prices, effective from 15 June 2004 onwards.
Mr. Suthep Suebsantiwongse, THAI's Executive Vice President Commercial, said that world fuel prices have been rising continuously and have now reached prices higher than ever experienced in the past. Due to this, airlines' fuel related expenses have increased drastically, resulting in some airlines' implementation of a fuel surcharge that is added to the air fare on each flight sector. THAI recently obtained approval from the Department of Transport to implement a fuel surcharge on international flight operations.
The fuel surcharge will be implemented from 15 June on all types of tickets for THAI international flights except on domestic flights with the following rates:
- Regional and Middle East routes will be charged a fuel surcharge of 7.50 USD or around 300 baht per flight coupon
- Intercontinental routes including Australia and New Zealand will be charged a fuel surcharge of 15 USD or around 600 baht per flight couponThe fuel surcharge is applied with tickets issued on 15 June 2004 onwards. However, when the fuel price situation returns to normal, THAI will withdraw the fuel surcharge and advise the public on a regular basis.
THAI Organizes 2nd Quarter & 6 Month Results Briefing for Fiscal Year 2003/04 Thai Airways International Public Company Limited recently organized a company briefing at the Head Office, reporting 2nd quarter and 6 month results for Fiscal Year 2003/04 to analysts, investors and representatives from leading financial institutions to give useful information and allow them to inquire about the airlines operations.
Mr. Kanok Abhiradee, THAIs President, said that the quarterly company briefing aimed for THAI to directly bring the relationship between the airline and analysts as well as investors closer to one another as well as to exchange information and opinions with them. The attendants were informed about the 2nd quarter and 6 month financial results for fiscal year 2003/04 and updated on the THAIs movements and recent developments as follows:

THAI Announces "Buy One Get One" Promotional Campaign on Premium Class
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced its promotional campaign "Buy One Get One", for Royal First Class and Royal Executive Class passengers departuring from Bangkok. The campaign was reintroduced following last year's success. THAI's "Buy One Get One" special offer is available from now until 31 August 2004 for travel in Royal First Class on all routes, and on most international routes in Royal Executive Class, with travel originating from Bangkok only.

THAI's "Buy One Get One" campaign is made available to customers with travel originating from Bangkok only. THAI extends an open invitation to all THAI passengers and prospective customers to experience premium class travel with THAI.
Designed for both business and leisure travelers, THAI's "Buy One Get One" campaign is extremely flexible. Both passengers must travel together on the first sector, but have the freedom of travelling separately for the remainder of the itinerary. The meeting was held for customers to exchange and share their views on THAI's services. In the meeting was Khun Ying Thipvadee Pramoj Na Ayudhya, Mrs. Chiranuj Bhirombhakdi, Mrs. Yavalaksana Pangsapa, Mrs. Krongkarn Phongsathorn, Gen. M.L.Vichai Chayankura and Assistant Professor Dr. Pratit Santiprapop. According to the meeting, customers' views and suggestions are essential in providing the direction of THAI's improvement practice in order to gain customers' trust and create satisfactory services for passengers in the future.
THAI Announces Interim Dividend Payment
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced that THAIs Board of Directors approved of interim payment dividend from the companys business operations for the half fiscal year 2003/2004 to shareholders at 1.50 baht per share.
Mr. Kanok Abhiradee, THAIs President, said that THAIs interim payment dividend resulted from the companys increase in profit during THAIs six months of operations in Fiscal Year 2003/2004 (October 2003 to March 2004) which resulted from the increase in operating revenues being more than the increase in operating expenses.
Payment of the interim dividend will be made to THAI shareholders on Friday, 25 June 2004. The payment of dividend will be made to shareholders with names registered in the shareholders registration book on Wednesday, 9 June 2004 at 12.00 hours.
